The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is a framework designed to support the development, learning, and care of children from birth to five years old. It focuses on providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can explore, play, and learn at their own pace. Through a combination of play-based activities and structured learning experiences, the EYFS aims to lay a solid foundation for children's future success in school and in life. As parents, your involvement and support are key to helping your child thrive within the EYFS framework.

Development Matters

The Development Matters curriculum provides a comprehensive guide for early years practitioners to support children's learning and development from birth to five years old. It outlines the key milestones and areas of learning across seven distinct areas, including communication and language, physical development, personal, social, and emotional development, maths, literacy, understanding of the world and expressive arts and design. By following this curriculum, educators can tailor activities and experiences to meet the unique needs and interests of each child, fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can reach their full potential.

Home Learning

Home learning plays a crucial role in your child’s learning and development. By creating strong parent partnerships, we are committed to fostering a collaborative approach where families and practitioners work together to support your child’s growth and progress, both at home and in the early years setting. Together we can create a nurturing environment that promotes curiosity, exploration and life-long love for learning.
